The goal was simple; create the worlds lightest and most beautiful folding bike enabling people to enjoy greater freedom through our endless pursuit of better design and innovation.

We believe in freedom. We believe in challenging the status quo. That is why Hummingbird was founded. What inspired us was a problem with no solution; no one was building the beautiful, high performance, lightweight folding bikes and electric folding bikes that we wanted to own.

Prodrive were chosen as the Technical partner helping to bring the design to reality and the journey began.

After several years carefully creating the Hummingbird Folding Bike in single speed, multispeed and electric versions the time was right for Prodrive to take the helm and bring the entire design, manufacture and assembly in house at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Oxfordshire, UK.

In 2024, The Prodrive Folding Bike is introduced. It remains the worlds lightest folding bike, now fully built and engineered in the UK by world leading engineers that demand quality at every step of the process.

As a constant reminder of the original goals, our lightest entry level bike in the Prodrive Folding Bike range retains the Hummingbird name!
