The Frame

Our frames are made from carbon fibre or flax. Carbon fibre is an advanced composite material used in aerospace and racing. It offers lightness, stiffness and vibration dampening, these are some of the high-performance qualities of carbon fibre.
Our flax frame is made entirely from plant fibres, it's the world's first. And, after walking, it's the most environmentally-friendly form of transport. The flax frame is recyclable when it finally reaches the end of its life.
Swingarms

Our swingarms are made from lightweight, corrosion resistant aluminium to keep the folding bike weight to a minimum and anodized to a matt black long-lasting finish.
Wheels

Our tri-spoke carbon fibre wheels are more robust and faster accelerating than bigger wheels, allowing you to go faster with less effort. The use of 16-inch wheels also helps reduce the overall length of the road bike, making it compact and easier to transport while retaining the comfort of a full size folding bike. Also available with our lightweight aluminium wheels.
Chain or Belt Drive

Available in either chain or carbon belt drive. If you are a traditionalist choose our super light hollow pin nickel, plated chain or if you prefer, opt for our maintenance and oil free carbon belt drive.
Saddle

In addition to our standard lightweight 'high density padding' saddle, you can accessorise by adding either the Brooks Special recycled nylon saddle or by choosing the male of female comfort gel saddle.
Folding Mechanism

Unique 3 step easy folding process that can be accomplished in approximately 5 seconds and offers a hingeless one piece frame for robustness and a design not compromised by the versatility of a folding bike.

The Multi Speed Folding Bike features The 8-speed Shimano Nexus gear hub is versatile and efficient. These fantastic internal hubs use pedal power to assist down-shifting, resulting in fast, accurate shifts with an exceptionally light feel.

Shimano's precise manufacturing abilities means the rear hubs have significantly less drag than previous models, resulting in quick, smooth and quiet shifting. The twist grip shifter enables smooth and easy operation of the gears - even when stationary.

The simple folding mechanism on this road bike allows for easy carrying on public transport and a smooth commute.

Single Speed vs

Multi speed bikes are versatile, fast, and efficient, making them a fine choice for varied terrains, especially when tackling hills.

However, if you want simplicity, a single speed bike requires less maintenance, is even more lightweight and perfect for flat roads. The Prodrive Single Speed Folding Bike offers an ultra-light and smooth design for effortless riding.
